Funeral services will be at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, September 12th at St. John Lutheran Church in Kellner. Rev. Kevin Ader will officiate. Burial will be in St. John Lutheran Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. on Wednesday, September 11th at Herman-Taylor Funeral Home and Cremation Center and from 10:00 A.M. until the time of services on Thursday at the church.
Laura was born in Kellner, WI on August 4, 1930 to Henry and Emma (Martinson) Dampier. She married Robert J. Hanneman on April 23, 1949 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Wisconsin Rapids. The couple was blessed with 64 years of marriage.
Laura loved being outdoors. She enjoyed hunting, and harvested many bucks through the years. She also enjoyed fishing, including big game fishing, and gardening, especially flowers. Laura also was a great cook and an avid NASCAR fan. In their younger years Laura and Robert enjoyed dancing to polkas.
Survivors include her husband, Robert; four sons: Don (Mary) Hanneman; Johnny Hanneman; Ronnie (Debbie) Hanneman; Rodney "Rowdy" (Kathy) Hanneman, all of Wisconsin Rapids; six grandchildren: Bradley, Dustin, Scott, Casey and Bobbi Sue Hanneman and Stacey (Kevin) Haring; two great-grandchildren: Ariana and Memphis. She was preceded by her parents, brothers: Sam, Harold, Charles, Thomas, Richard and James; sisters: Carrie, Ruth, Marion, and Harriet.
