Mr. Willard was born Sept. 123, 1904, in Indian Territory, near what is now Salina, Okla. He lived in Goodman for 25 years before moving to Arkansas in 1989. He worked in a blacksmith shop in Salina. He also worked at Ross Garage in Salina, Eagle-Picher Mining Co. at Pitcher, Okla., and was a mechanic for Monroe Iron Co.
He was a member of the Church of God (Holiness) Apple Glen Chapel, Bentonville, Ark. He was a Navy veteran, serving as a machinist shipfitter First Class.
His wife Effie Jewell Willard, died Nov. 27, 1996.
A son and a daughter also preceded him in death.
Survivors include five sons, Kenneth Willard, Rogers, Robert Willard, Chula Vista, Calif., Frank Willard Mount Vernon, Fred Willard, Fayetteville, Ark., and Jerry Willard, Slidell, La.; four daughters, Dee Ann Barry, Harriet Beehler and MaryBeehler, all of Lost Bridge Village, Ark., and LaVeda Baker, Tulsa, Okla.; 33 grandchildren; 64 great grandchildren; and 11 great great grandchildren.
Services were held Friday, May 22, 1998, at the Church of God (Holiness), Miami, Okla. The Rev. Fred Agee and the Rev. Rodney Gruver officiated.
Arrangements were under direction of Sisco Funeral Home, Pea Ridge, Ark.
