Marian F. Anderson, age 90, of Mitchell, died May 3, 2006 at the Avera Brady Health and Rehab. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM Saturday, May 6, at the First United Methodist Church in Mitchell. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery.
Marian was born in Mitchell, SD on April 14, 1916, to Ferd and Zoa (Richards) Irwin. She was a graduate of Mitchell High School in 1934. She married Harold L. Anderson on June 23, 1935, at Mitchell. She spent her entire life in Mitchell.
She was a member of the First United Methodist Church.
Marian is survived by her children: Bill Anderson and wife, Verna; Larry Anderson and wife, Janice; Donna VanOverschelde and husband, Leo; and a son-in-law, David Hoffman, all of Mitchell; twenty-four grandchildren, fifty-one great grandchildren and seventeen great great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold in 1982, her oldest daughter, Darlene and husband, Bud Koster, daughter, Delores Hoffman, two granddaughters, one grandson, Ronald Anderson, two great grandsons, and two brothers, Marvin and Darwin Irwin.
