Margaret Grafton "Peg" Fergusson, 93, of Black Mountain, passed away Saturday, August 10, 2013.
Mrs. Fergusson was born September 20, 1919 in California to the late William G. and Frances Brooks Austin.

She was a resident of Waynesville for 32 years. She then became a resident of Highland Farms for 23 years. Peg spent the last 4 years with her daughter, Jean and son-in-law. She was a former member of Grace Episcopal Church in Waynesville and a member and retired Deacon from St. James Episcopal Church in Black Mountain. Peg was very active in girl scouts, Episcopal Church Women, a founding member of Hospice of Haywood County, and the Women's Prison Ministry in Black Mountain.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, John A. Fergusson.

Peg is survived by her daughters, Jean Ponder (Doug) of Black Mountain, and Anne Smart (Jerry) of Hoschton, GA; sons, Ian Fergusson (Barbara) of Portland, OR, and Austin Fergusson (Nancy) of Columbia City, IN; 8 grandchildren; and 15 great grandchildren.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held Saturday, September 21, 2013, at 11:00 am at St. James Episcopal Church with Father Scott Oxford officiating.

Inurnment of ashes will be at Grace Episcopal Church in Waynesville where she will join her late husband.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Swannanoa Valley Christian Ministry, PO Box 235, Black Mountain, NC 28711.
