Mae Anderson went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, January 28, 2015. She died in Frederick, Oklahoma, at the age of 90 years, two months, and six days. She was born on November 22, 1924, in Ardmore, Oklahoma, to Boyd and Velma (Besse) Thomas. She grew up and attended school in Ardmore. Shortly after her graduation from Ardmore High School in 1942, she was united in marriage to Paul E. “Andy” Anderson. They lived in Ardmore and she worked for various law offices and for the American Red Cross. They moved to Frederick in the late 1960’s and owned and operated Anderson Oil Company. She was a Baptist, and taught girls’ Sunday School in Ardmore. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Frederick where she taught G.A.’s for many years. She enjoyed reading poems to the residents when the church would visit the local nursing homes. She also enjoyed reading history books and was a huge cat lover, as well as most other animals.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband: Paul E. “Andy” Anderson on June 6, 1998.
Survivors include a friend: Brenda Stevens and family of Frederick, Oklahoma.
