Dick passed away early Friday morning, January 16, 2015 at McLaren Bay Region. Age 84 years. The son of the late Edward and Julia Ann (Reed) Stanley was born July 22, 1930 in Bay City. Dick retired from Dow Chemical Co. / Midland Country Club. He enjoyed sports, but he was most passionate about baseball and hockey and coached many area teams over the years. Dick was a former member of the American Legion and V.F.W. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict.
He is survived by his children; David (Denise) Stanley Sr., Diane Hoff, Denise (Keith) Reid, Debra (Mark) Gallihugh and Donald (Jamie)Stanley, thirteen grandchildren, five great grandchildren, his extended family; Mark, Sue, Erika and Brooke Rosebrock. In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by his wife; Donna Stanley, two sons; Daniel and Richard Stanley, three grandchildren, four sisters and three brothers.
