A graveside service will be held on Sunday at 3 pm in Greenwood Cemetery with Masonic Rites and Military honors.
Mr. Barber, a Pitt County native served in the United States Army and Air Force during the Korean Conflict. For over 20 years he was owner and operator of Barber Auto Sales and for 10 years was a Realtor in Greenville. He was a lifelong member of Hooker Memorial Christian Church, was a member of the Crown Point 708, and was also very active in the Sudan Shriners (Convertible Unit).
He was preceded in death by his wife, Nancy “Nan” Barber; and a sister, Mattie Laura Benson Pearce.
He is survived by 2 daughters, a son, a sister and a brother, 5 grandchildren & 12 great grandchildren.
