Visitation for Grace Eileen Stewart will be held at Basham Funeral Care (3312 Niles Street) on Friday, May 5, 2006 from 5:00-8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held in the Basham Funeral Care Chapel on Saturday morning, May 6, 2006 at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park. Pastor Ken Armstrong will officiate. Grace was born October 19, 1922 in Tonasket, Washington to Emerson and Roxie Rogers and she passed away May 1, 2006 in Bakersfield, California. Grace is preceded in death by her husband, James Farrell Stewart; daughter, Donna Holden and daughter, Susie Alexander. She is survived by her granddaughter, Kimberly Clark; grandson and wife, Darin and Kellie Sloan; grandson, Mark Holden; grandson and wife, Stewart and Gina Holden; 9 great grandchildren; sister, Louise Thomas as well as numerous other relatives and friends. Anyone who knew her called her Nani. She was the most sweetest, generous person you could ever meet. Nani loved to cook and bake. Our family's favorite were her lemon and strawberry pies, jello salad and her awesome carrot cake. A special thanks to the Hall family for the love and compassion they gave Nani these last four months. She was loved by all that knew her and she will be deeply missed.
