Morrison, Ill. - Dean Houseman, 71, of 1003 Hilltop Drive, Morrison, died Thursday at Morrison Community Hospital.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at the Morrison United Methodist Church in Morrison with the Rev. Daniel Swinson and Rev. Julie Bunt officiating. A family prayer service will be at 1:45 p.m. in the church chapel. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the Morrison Chapel of Bosma-Renkes Funeral Home. Interment will be at Grove Hill Cemetery in Morrison.
He was born May 9, 1929, in Sterling, Ill., to Fred and Edith Newell Houseman. On Aug. 14, 1949, he married Rogene W. Wagenecht in Morrison.
He was educated in rural Whiteside County grade schools and graduated from Morrison High School in 1947.
He was employed by General Electric in Morrison for 27 years, retiring in 1989.
He was a member of the Morrison United Methodist Church.
Survivors include his wife; three daughters, Mrs. Deb (Bob) DeMay of Ankeny, Mrs. Sue (Roger) Drey of Morrison and Mrs. Jane (Brian) Kenseth of Morrison; nine grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and two brothers, Art Houseman of Morrison and Don Houseman of Morrison.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother.
