Evelyn Laney Marr, 91, of Raleigh, died Tuesday, May 4, 2010. She was born May 6, 1918, the daughter of the late William and Loma Laney in Union County, NC.
Survivors include her daughter, Carol Marr Meszaros and husband Michael of Raleigh; son, Walter Eugene Marr III of Garner; grandchildren, Michael Meszaros, Jr. and Paige Meszaros; great granddaughter, Kylie Meszaros; sisters, Wilene Maness and Geneva Hepp, and brother, Will Laney, Jr. She was preceded in death by her husband and daughter Jean Laney Bailey.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, May 7, 2010 at 2 PM at Montlawn Memorial Park, 2911 South Wilmington Street, Raleigh. Friends may visit and view from 9 am until 12 noon at Brown Wynne Funeral Home, 300 St. Mary's Street prior to the graveside service.
