Lillie Elizabeth (Allemang)Zwicker, 77, died Monday, March 12, 1956, in the home of her daughter, Verda Kenney, in Viola, Illinois. She had been ill for two months. The former Lillie Allemang, was born April 25, 1878, in Richland Grove Township, Illinois, a daughter of Mary Schoening and Henry Allemang. She attended Scott Center School, near Sherrard, Illinois.
She was married to John Zwicker on March 23, 1904, in her family home. They resided in the Reynolds and Sherrard communities until they retired from farming and moved to Viola in 1942.
She was a member of the former Evangelical Lutheran Church, near Sherrard. More recently, she had attended the Viola Methodist Church. She w as a member of the WSCS.
She was preceded in death by: her husband, two sisters, and two brothers.
Surviving Lillie are: two daughters, Verda Mary Kenney and Esther Catherine Strokes of Taylor Ridge; a grandson; four sisters: Rebecca Brehmer of Aledo, Emma Spangler and Flora Groves, both of Sherrard, and Clara Allemang of East Moline, and a brother, Fred Allemang, of Clearwater, NE.
