Robert Walter Anderson was born August 22, 1925 in Toquerville, Utah to Walter Herbert and Lola Pearl Button Anderson. He passed away January 16, 2015.

Robert attended South High School and the University of Utah. He was in the armed service during WWII and had served in combat assignments in the Orient until retirement. After military retirement, he continued working on special assignments for the government worldwide.

Robert married Marjorie Louise Eby and together they had three children, later divorced. After many years as a credit manager he retired from Chevron Oil Company.

Robert was a great humanitarian, always serving others and their needs frequently providing Christmas to an entire village in the Philippines. He became known as "Uncle Bob" to all of the children.

Poppa was a great out-doorsman who loved fishing, hunting, traveling and rodeos. His greatest joy was being with his grandchildren and family.

He is preceded in death by 3 grandchildren: Bryan Robert Lampropoulos, Evan Peter Lampropoulos and Tami Guy Morgan. He is survived by his daughter Cynthia Lampropoulos (Dr. George Gourley), Salt Lake City, Utah, Susan Hymas, West Haven, Utah and son Jeffrey Anderson, Whitefish, Montana as well as 8 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday January 24, 2015 at 2:00 PM at Wasatch Lawn Mortuary, 3401 Highland Drive, where friends may call from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM prior to the services. Interment will follow.
