Falls From Bumpers, Loses Legs.
Hastings, Minn., April 23.—(Special.) —Harry Jacobson, a native of Sweden, aged 26 years, had both legs cut off below the knee yesterday afternoon by falling from the bumpers of an extra cast-bound freight train in charge of Conductor W. B. Jones, opposite the freight depot, and is in a critical condition. Jacobson was removed to the
Latto hospital, where he was attended by the company's local surgeon, Dr. L. 0. Peck and Dr. A. M. Adsit. It is reported that he boarded the train in St. Paul and worked recently at Stanton.
