Gradie was a resident of Lawrenceburg and a former employee of Buckner-Pittner. He was retired from Lawrence County School Bus Garage. Mr. Barton was a member of the American Legion and was of the Baptist Faith. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict.

Preceded in death by his parents, Sampson Dewey and Lora Alice Phillips Barton; three brothers, Roy Barton, Arthur Barton, and Joe Barton; and two sisters, Margie Dean Barton and Arlene Stockard.

Funeral services will be conducted at Neal Funeral Home at 11:00 AM Saturday, January 24, 2015, with Larry Spears officiating. Interment will follow at Macedonia Cemetery in Lawrence County, TN.
