Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Elliott Sons Funeral chapel with Rev. Maxwell H. Keckler officiating. Burial will be in West View Cemetery.
A native of Augusta, he was the son of the late William E. and Aber Lee Brown Palmer. He was a musician who lived in Augusta all his life. The widower of Melrose Johnson Palmer, he was a member of Central Christian Church.
Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Harry Davis, Augusta; three sisters, Mrs. Alfred Penchosky, Huntsville, Alabama, Mr. Clifford Beattie and Mrs. Earline Rainwater, both of Augusta; two grandchildren, an aunt and several nieces and nephews.
