Ranch Hand Found Dead Near Eunice
EUNICE - Foster Fulfer, 80, an employee on the Hugh Ward ranch located about 15 miles southwest of here, was found dead about 4:30 p.m. yesterday near a windmill on the ranch.
According to Sgt. Paul Mallory, deputy medical investigator, Fulfer died of an apparent heart attack. He said the ranch hand left the house about 5:30 a.m. yesterday and when Fulfer was found at 4:30 p.m. he had been dead about six or seven hours.
Fulfer had lived at the ranch for two years.
Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Zylphorah Fulfer; three daughters, Mrs. Dorothy Phifer of San Antonio, Mrs. Fausteena McKinley of El Paso and Mrs. Wileyn F. Nord of Thailand; three grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Services are pending at Petterson-Roberts Funeral Home in Hobbs.

Foster Fulfer Services Set
Funeral Services are set for 3 p.m. Monday at Petterson-Roberts Funeral Home chapel for Foster Fulfer, 80, who was found dead Thursday on the Hugh Ward Ranch near Eunice.
The Rev. John Joyner, pastor of the Loma Terrace Baptist church in El Paso, will officiate. Burial will be in Seminole City Cemetery.
Pallbearers include Kelly Meyers, Amos Gilchrest, Waylan Gilchrest, Ronnie Gilchrest, Kenneth Pike, J. Pike, R. D. Sims, Hugh Ward and Floyd Taylor.[Fulfer Family.FTW]
