"Mr. Charles Harris, who recently purchased the McLaren farm, a short distance west of town, and who with his family had moved thereto only a short time ago, fell dead of heart failure Tuesday evening at his home. He leaves a wife and one daughter and many friends to mourn his death. Funeral
services were conducted by Rev. Clarence Crow Wednesday afternoon and the remains laid to rest in City cemetery." (Buried Mound City)
