Porfirio was born in Waco TX on December 7, 1920 to Rejinaldo and Gregoria (Leal) Fuentes.
Porfirio was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Waco, as well an active member of The American Legion, Post 121, Bta Sociedad Mutualista Mexicana de Jornaleros, Waco Missions, and Disable American Veterans. He was a successful businessman as well an excellent watch repairman.
He was preceded in death by his parents,
two sisters and four brothers.
He is survived by his loving wife of 68 years, Rosa C. Fuentes; daughters, Rosie Trevino and husband, Elojio, Jeanette Fuentes Castillo and husband, Hector; son, Porfirio Fuentes, Jr., and wife, Gloria, all of Waco; four grandchildren, three great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren; sisters, Inez Rodriguez and husband, Johnny; brother, Lupe Fuentes, and numerous nieces and nephews.
