Charles Loeffler died at his home on North Newton Street after a lingering illness of a year or more of tuberculosis and cirrhosis of the liver at 7:15 a.m. Saturday at the age of 64 years, 4 months and 7 days.

he was born in Pittsburg, Pennsylvania, November 14th, 1849 of German parents and at an early age immigrated with his parents to Peru, Ill.

About 35 years ago he came to Albert Lea and at about that time was married to Miss Anna Benson, she survives him with four children.

One sister: Mrs. Emil Stemphel of Peru, Ill.

He was a charter member of the Maccabee lodge of this city over 20 years and carried insurance in same.
All of his children were at his bed side at his death which was peaceful.

The funeral will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. at the Trinity Lutheran church.
Interment will be in the Lakewood cemetery.
