Absolem B. Eiland, 78, 1903 First Ave., Phenix City, died at 11 p.m.Monday at Cobb Memorial Hospital after an illness of several days.
He was born in Russell County Sept. 6, 1881, a son of the late Absolem B. and Rebecca Harris Eiland.
He was a member of St. James Free Will Baptist Church in Phenix City.
Survivors include one sister, Mrs. Martha Eiland Jefferson of St. Petersburg, Fla., and several nieces and nephews. per: Lois Goodin Hottinger
