Early Life: Hannah was born July 21, 1925, in Annabella, Utah, to Ammon and Susie Emma Adams Roberts. She was a tomboy who loved to help her daddy with the chores but was also a great help to her mama, learning to make bread at a very early age. She graduated from Monroe High School.
Life's Work/Service/Interests: On August 28, 1943, Hannah married Raymond D. Ormond. After World War II, they lived in Annabella, Richfield, Salt Lake City and then settled in Pleasant Grove, Utah in 1955. Hannah worked at American Fork hospital as a nurses aide, then decided to go to school to become a Licensed Practical Nurse. She graduated with her LPN degree in 1961. She was the first American Fork Hospital emergency room nurse, which means when the ambulance arrived at the hospital, unannounced and the driver rang the doorbell, she answered the door, assessed the patient and called the doctor to come to the hospital, right now! She worked in the Emergency Room until her retirement. She was American Fork Hospital Employee of the Year in 1980. She was admired and respected by all those she worked with. She was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and had a firm testimony of paying tithing. Her greatest joy was to make others happy and to laugh. She loved to travel and lived life joyfully on her own terms. Hannah Roberts Ormond slipped away peacefully in her sleep January 15, 2015, at the home of her daughter, Lucille.
