Frank Washington Lewis was the oldest child of Sally ( later changed to sarah) Carr Adams and Frank Washington Lewis Sr. whos name is engraved along with several others on a bronze plaque featured on the front of the Anson County Courthouse in Wadesboro, along with Lewis Sr's brother Julien Lewis who died from fever in France during WWI. Diagnosed with paranoid schitzophrenia during his late teens, Frank Lewis Jr. worked at the family store, Lewis Grocery in Wadesboro as a meat cutter. Frank W.Lewis Jr. was a quiet family man who died in 1979 due to drug interactions that affected his heart. He was buried on a cold blustery day in January 1979 where one of the floral tributes featured an off the hook telephone in yellow mums that stated " JESUS CALLED"
