Steven Victor Anderson, age 65 of Syracuse, Utah died on Tuesday, January 20, 2015 surrounded by his loving wife and friends. He passed away in his home finally losing his valiant fight with cancer. He was cared for in his home by his loving wife, Gretel, family members, friends, Visiting Angels, and hospice.
Steven was born on February 25, 1949 in Logan, Utah to Charles Victor Anderson and Beth Andrus.
Steven married his sweetheart Gretel Schmier on September 2, 1970 and was sealed for time and all eternity in the Oakland, California Temple.
He is survived by his wife Gretel Anderson, Syracuse, Utah; two sons, Krishaan (Amelia) Anderson, St. Louis, Missouri; Karsten (Elizabeth) Anderson, Lubbock, Texas; seven grandchildren, Hiram, Annaleigh, Seth, Miriam, Bethany, Luke, and Lydia Anderson, three brothers, Dennis (Peggy) Anderson, St. George, Utah; Craig (Laura) Anderson, Lake Point, Utah; Brent (Brooke) Anderson, Buena Vista, Virginia; and two sisters Karla (Richard) Clark, St. George, Utah; and Connie (Collin) Broughton, Alamogordo, New Mexico.
He was preceded in death by his parents Charles Victor Anderson and Beth Andrus of St. George, Utah.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 24, 2015 at 11 a.m. at the Bluff Ridge Ward, 535 W. 2700 So., Syracuse. Friends may visit family Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lindquist’s Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Road and Saturday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the church.
