Janie was born April 26,1944 in Charlotte, N.C., a daughter of the late William H. and Pauline Nesbit Coffey. She was a dedicated mother of three and loved by all whom met her. She was a bright shining light and always enjoyed a good smile. She was a 'Jane-of-all-Traits' and well known for her creativity, her crafts and her quick wit. She played many roles, over the years, including majorette, event planner, publisher, accountant, restaurateur, marketer, radio personality, mother and best friend to all. She was a member of the Part-Time Players, Junior Service League and an active participant of Willington Academy and OPS Booster Clubs for many years. Janie enjoyed boating, camping and Pasofino horses, but above all, she loved to make people laugh. She was an avid supporter of all holidays, Christmas being her favorite, and celebrated it throughout the entire year. To know Janie, was to love her. She was deeply cherished by her friends and family and will be sorely missed. The family suggest memorials be sent to the Alzheimer's Association, Palmetto Chapter, 3223 Sunset Blvd. Suite 100, West Columbia, S.C. 29169. © 2010-2015 Dukes Harley Funeral Home and Crematory
