Memorial services for Asa Giles (Bob) Steele, 67, of Richmond, will be held Friday, June 18, 1999, at 3:00 P.M. at Great Oaks Baptist Church, 7101 FM 2759 in Richmond. Reverend Bill Pemberton will officiate the services.
Bob was born April 26, 1932 in Corpus Christi, Tx to Thomas Austin Steele and Mary Elizabeth Hamblin Steele. He passed away June 15, 1999 in Houston. He was a member of Great Oaks Baptist Church and served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Mary Steele, and brothers, Tom and Johnny Steele.
He is survived by his loving wife of 17 years, Gayle Steele of Richmond; daughters, Kelie Ethridge and husband, Ray, of Willis Point, TX, Kristie Davidson and husband, Scotty, of Garland, Kimberly Wible and husband, Wayne, of Garland; son, Kevin Steele of Brownsville, Tx; stepsons, Terry Bartee and wife, Susan, of Channelview, Jerry Bartee of Houston, Ronald Bartee and wife, Rosalyn, of Richmond; sister, Gene Evelyn Carson of Albuquerque, NM; brother, Steamboat Steele and wife, Bunny, of Houston; mother-in-law, Ada Forgey of Richmond; 17 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren.
