Melodie Harrell Johnson, 41, of Valley Mills, Texas, passed away on Monday, May 1, 2006, at a Clifton hospital. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Friday, May 5, at the First Baptist Church in Valley Mills. Burial will be in Rock Springs Cemetery under the direction of Foss Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 6 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Melodie was born in Lubbock, Texas, to Larry and Barbara (Hamilton) Harrell. She married Richard Johnson on July 13, 1993, in Valley Mills and was a devoted wife and mother.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Lou Ellen Lasister.
Survivors include her husband, Richard Johnson; children, Christian, Tiffany, Kara, Samuel, Daniel, Diana, Iris, and Richard, Jr.; grandchildren, Andrea, Jaylon, Damion, and Kendall; mother, Barbara Alsup and husband, Don; and father, Larry Harrel and wife, Alma.
