Arthur Ernest Bells was born 23 December, 1880 in Birkenhead, Cheshire, England. He emigrated to Canada, arriving in Halifax, Nova Scotia on April 6, 1904. From there he went to Manitoba, and a year later filed a homestead in Saskatchewan. He died suddenly on August 26, 1916 at his home in the R.M. of Wolverine, Saskatchewan, leaving a wife and five young children.
