Wednesday evening a telephone message was received in the city from Ida Grove, telling of the death of Mrs. Caroline Carr a sister of Messrs, S.C. Barrett and Ike Barrett and Mrs. N.P. Rogers of this city. The death occurred Wednesday at 5:00 o’clock in South Dakota. Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon at 2:00 o’clock from the residence of her brother S.C. Barrett, No. 621 Linn Street and were in charge of the Rev. A.L. Golden, pastor of the Marion Street church. They arrived Friday night from the north and were taken to the brother’s residence. The remains were interred in Linwood cemetery.
