Lavella (Ezell) Ansley, 97, of Talladega, Alabama, died on January 13, 2015 at her home. She taught for twenty years in regular education and twenty years in special education. She retired from the Talladega City School System in 1991. She was in the nursing home ministry for 32 years and was a member of Cherry Street Church of God. She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Ansley, and husband, Rufus Austin Compton. She is survived by two sons, one daughter, granddaughter, four sisters, and one brother. Funeral: 11:00 January 16, 2015 at Usrey Brown-Service Funeral Home, Talladega, Alabama.∼Funeral service for Lavella Ezell Ansley 86, of Talladega, will be Friday, January 16, 2015, at 11:00 am at Usrey Brown-Service Funeral Home. Rev. Stanley Willis and Rev. Paul Gilbreath will officiate and burial will be in Eastaboga Cemetery. Her family will receive friends Friday from 10:00 am until 11:00 am and Usrey Funeral Home of Talladega will direct. She passed away January 13, 2015 at her residence.
