From the Garrett Clipper: BROTHER OF GARRETT MAN, IS DEAD Fred Purdy of Auburn, a brother of Tilden Purdy, ctf Garrett, died at his home Thursday morning from pneumonia. Mr. Purdy was taken sick at his home on Hazel street, Forest park, on Tuesday, Jan. 30, and grew steadily worse. He realized his condition Sunday and made the statement that he could not live- The end came at 5 o'clock Thursday morning.

Born at Butler September 24, 1S72, he came to Auburn with his parents, Wilson and Lucinda Purdy, 42 years ago. After reaching manhood Mr. Purdy engaged in the occupation of wedding women ne louuwea to me time of his last sickness. Mr. Purdy was married three times.

I two of wives having preceded! Him ln death. Surviving is the wid- ovv. wnose maiaen name was iviar-J garet Wilderson and to whom he was married in Waterloo 10 years ago last May. i Beside the widow there survive four children. George, Marie, Dale and Waiter who live zt home, and sides en Wayne street, Auburn.

Three brothers and two sisters also survive. They are Dell and Frank Purdiy, of Auburn, Tilden Purdy, of Garrett, Mrs. Nettie Brandon and Mrs. John Arens, of Auburn. Mr.

Purdy was a member of the Moose lodge of Auburn. The funeral service was held Saturday afternoon a 2 o'clock -from St. Mark's Lutheran church and was in charge of the pastor, the (Rev. S. E.

Slater. Burial was made in Woodlawn
