Neil A. Macaulay, 63, of 2109 Sommers Ave., died Saturday night at his home after suffering injuries while at work at the Veterans Administration (VA) hospital project Friday afternoon.
Mr. Macaulay was employed as a carpenter there. He was long active in the carpenters’ union and had served formerly as president of Local 314.
He was an honored elder of the Parkside Presbyterian church and a member of Hiram Lodge No. 50 of the Masonic order.
He is survived by his wife; three daughters, Mrs. Marie Garber, Arlington Va., and Nancy and Rachel, both at home; two sons, William, Madison and Philip, in the navy, a sister, Mrs. A. F. Macleod, Edinburgh, Scotland; and two brothers, John N. Macaulay, Baddeck, Nova Scotia, and William Ross Macaulay, Englishtown, Nova Scotia.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday in the Parkside Presbyterian church with the Rev. A. F. Wittenberger officiating.
