Della A. Allison

Brighton Township - Della A. Allison, 83, of Brighton Township, passed away Wednesday, January 14, 2015 at Good Samaritan Hospice, Heritage Valley Beaver. Born September 4, 1931 in Indiana, PA, she was a daughter of the late Ralph and Almeda Hannaman Lowman, and was a member of Bridgewater Presbyterian Church. Most recently she worked as a greeter at the Monaca Walmart, having previously worked in the Beaver County Times cafeteria and Movieworld, Walmart Plaza. She was a member of the Eastern Star, Wenonah Chapter No. 124 and a former member of the Brighton Township Firemen's Auxiliary. Preceding her in death, besides her parents, were her husband, Robert 'Art' Allison, in 1980; a daughter, Brenda Joyce, in 2005, and a sister, Martha. She is survived by two sons, Ronald (Margie) Allison, Apex, NC, and Leslie Allison, Garner, NC; a daughter, Cynthia (Terry) Cook, Freedom; two brothers, Ronald (Loretta) Lowman, Indiana, PA, and Donald (Lois) Lowman, New Brighton; five sisters, including her twin, Ella (Bob) Stenman, Plumville, PA; Nancy Feret, Greensburg; Alene Mission, Indiana, PA; Sandra DeRubis, Blairsville, PA, and Patricia (William) Vampotic, Grand Island, NY; four grandchildren, Bethany (Jared) Brooks, Corissa Allison, Robert Thomas Allison and Robert Arthur Allison II; five step-grandchildren, Joanna Sampson, Jessica Cook, Aaron Cook, T.J. Cook and Matt Cook; three great-grandchildren, Victoria, Amelia and Charlotte; a special friend from church, Ernie Traylor; and numerous nieces and nephews. Friends will be received Saturday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Sunday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. in the Noll Funeral Home, Inc., 333 Third St., Beaver, where a funeral service will be conducted Monday at 11 a.m. by Reverend Bill Silver. Interment will follow in Sylvania Hills Memorial Park. Online condolences may be shared at nollfuneral.com. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made, if desired, to Good Samaritan Hospice.The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the Heritage Valley ER, Critical Care Unit, and Good Samaritan Hospice for the loving care given to their mother.
