FITTSTOWN-Services for Virginia Sue Howry, 69, Fittstown are 10:00 a.m. Saturday at the First Baptist Church in Ada. Rev. Steve Wilburn will officiate. Burial will follow at Highland Cemetery in Stonewall.

Mrs. Howry died Wednesday, July 28, 2010 at an Oklahoma City hospital. She was born August 10, 1940 at Holdenville, Oklahoma to William Glen “Bill” and Clara Mae Johnston Foster. She attended Calvin schools and graduated from Calvin High School. She attended East Central State College.

She married Dale Howry on April 2, 1959. Mrs. Howry was a paralegal secretary and also a church secretary. She was active with the Chisolm Trail Cowboy Church at Duncan, Oklahoma.

Survivors include her husband, Dale Howry, of the home; a son, Ken Howry and wife Lisa, West Virginia; a daughter, Pam Rhyne and husband Pete, Ada; eight grandchildren, Amity Apsey, Kevin Howry, Miranda Smith, Karla Howry, Kaycee Smith, Travis Howry, Tamra Alspaugh and Katie Howry; eleven great grandchildren; and one brother, Steve Foster and wife Mary, Wister, OK.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a son, Clinton Dee Howry in 2002.

Bearers will be Buddy Covington, Freddie Craig, Lonny Foster, Butch Swanson, Matt Milam, Kenneth Johnson, and Joe Davis. Honorary bearers will be Bill Hollowell, R. V. Brady, Kevin Howry, Travis Howry, Stanley Graham, Jack McClendon, and the Men of Chisolm Trail Cowboy Church.
