Douglas Noel Brasington
age 69, of Belleville, MI, passed away Wednesday, January 14, 2015 at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital, Ann Arbor, MI. He was born Marcy 27, 1945 in Lancaster, South Carolina, son of Jesse Coleman & Annie Viola (Phillips) Brasington.

Doug proudly served his country in the U.S. Army. He was a very active member of the Belleville Masonic Lodge #89 and the Van Buren Eagles Aerie #3996. He never missed a day of work. He enjoyed the outdoors and loved trips to the casino. He a true family man. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He never had a bad thing to say about anyone.

Mr. Brasington is survived by his wife Barbara (Chamber) Brasington, son James (Joyce) Brasington of Metamora, MI, daughter Lorie (Robert) Boutilier of Wayne, MI, three granddaughters Jessica Sue Brasington, Jennifer Ann Brasington and Katelin Sue Boutilier, one grandson Robert Kyle Boutilier, three brothers Ernest Brasington of Ohio, Jimmy (Holly) Brasington and Gary (Lama) Brasington, both of Brownstown, MI, and a host of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, also a brother Johnny.

Visitation will be 4-8 PM Friday at David C. Brown Funeral Home, 460 E. Huron River Dr., Belleville, MI 48111 (734)697-4500 with a 6:00 PM Masonic Service and a 7:30 PM Eagles Service. Funeral Services will be 11:00 AM at the funeral home with visitation 10-11 AM. Curtis Richard will officiate. Interment will be in Michigan Memorial Park, Flat Rock, MI.
