Funeral services for Hubert B. Douglas, 74, of Jacksboro were held at 11:00 am Tuesday, September 27 in the Maddox Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Woody Singleton officiating, assisted by Bill Foreman. Burial was in the Bartons Chapel Cemetery.
Born October 4, 1913 in Wizard Wells, Douglas married Phyliss "Lorea" Horton. November 21, 1935 in Altus, Oklahoma. He was a member of Jacksboro Masonic Lodge #320, and was made Master Mason there June 15, 1974. He worked as a flight line mechanic with General Dynamis for 35 years. Preceded in death by two brothers and three sisters, he died Sunday, Sept 25, 1988.
Survivors include his wife, Lorea Douglas of Jacksboro; one son Hubert H. Douglas of Springtown; one daughter, Dolores A. Wilhelm of Haltom City; 12 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and one sister, Mabel McDaniel of Bridgeport.
