Adrian M. "Eggs" Eckenrode, 64, 214 Columbus Ave., Cresson, died May 4, 1996, at Mercy Regional Health System, Altoona. He was born Aug. 20. 1931, in Cresson, a son of the late Clair and Helen (Kearney) Eckenrode. He was preceded in death by his brother Walter, and goddaughter, Nanci Ann Trexler.
Surviving are his wife, the former Connie Latterner, whom he married Oct. 13, 1958; 4 children: and 6 grandchildren. He was a brother of: Jean Hoover, Cresson; Dorothy Budde, Gladbrook, Iowa; Clifford, Alexandria, Pa.; and Ellen Jane Maines, Johnstown. Also survived by father-in-law and mother-in-law, John and Helen Latterner, Cresson; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Mr. Eckenrode was an Army veteran of the Korean Conflict. Retired as an engineer/conductor from Conrail with 40 years of Service. Member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, Cresson; and a life member of both the Cresson Sportamen's Club and Cresson American Legion Post 238. He was an avid outdoorsman.
Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated May 7 at St. Francis Xavier Church by Rev. David Roesch. Interment, church cemetery. hand written date 5-9-1996
