Abner M. Nations, 82, of 143 10 NE, Paris, died Friday at St. Joseph's Hospital.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at Bright-Holland Funeral Home with the Rev. J.W. Sims officiating. Burial will be in Providence Cemetery.

Mr. Nations was born Oct. 24, 1912, in Arthur City, the son of William J. and Minnie May Henry Blanton.

He married Margaret Irene Hanley on Oct. 1, 1941, in Paris.

He was a retired truck driver and a member of the Tudor Street Gospel Mission.

Surviving are his wife; a son, Alfred Nations of Paris; two daughters, Wanda Nations of the home and Dorothy Smith of Denton; one sister, Syble Smith of Paris; three grandchildren, Charley Smith, Stephanie Smith McCleskey and Andy Nations; one great-grandchild, Casey Nations. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Carolyn Long and one grandchild, both on Feb. 29, 1968; two brothers, Clyde Blanton and Gylbert Blanton, and by one sister, Juanita Blanton Sims.

Casket bearers will be Keith Smith, Jimmy Smith, Andy Nations, Charley Smith, Brandon McCleskey and Joey Martin.
