92, of Gainesville FL, passed away peacefully at his home on Friday, January 9, 2015.
He was a native of Louisville and was born on Oct 31, 1922. After serving in the U.S. Army in World War II, he graduated from the University of Louisville, and worked as an Electrical Engineer for the Air Force until he retired in 1978. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and brother, and he will be greatly missed.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 49 years Monzelle and brothers Bob and Jack. He is survived by his son Louis Fertig, daughter-in-law Patricia, and three grandchildren Olivia, Audrey, and Margaret. He is also survived by his brother Kenneth and sister Lucille.
A celebration of Wesley's life will be conducted at 10a.m. on Saturday, January 17, 2015 in the chapel of Arch L. Heady at Resthaven 4400, Bardstown Road, with interment to follow at Resthaven Memorial Park.
