Oliver Lincoln Morgan, 46, a 20 year resident of the Longview-Kelso, Washington area,was fatally injured at 12:32 P.M., Thursday, in a logging accident near O'Brien, Oregon when a log fell from his loaded truck as he was dumping the load at the Salvage Mill near Holland, Oregon. He died at the office of a Cave Junction, Oregon doctor shortly afterward.

Oliver Morgan, a resident of Kerby, Oregon for the past two months. Mr. Morgan moved to Kerby from Brookings, Oregon. He had previously worked in Washington state. Oliver was bron in Salt Lake City, Utah on June 25, 1903.

In addition to his widow, Mrs. Beulah Morgan of Kerby, Oregon, he leaves behind, two sons, George Robert Morgan of Pueblo, Colorado, Leo Morgan of Kerby, Oregon, one daughter, Maisie Morgan of Kerby, Oregon.

Oliver was the son of David Morgan from Nebraska and Hulda Anna Badley from Arkansas City, Cowley, Kansas, two brothers and six sisters.

according to the sheriff's office, a short log at the head of the truck rolled off of the load while Oliver was standing by the truck. The log pinned Mr. Morgan between the truck and a log set up as an unloading guide.

Funeral services will be held Monday, December 05, 1949 at 2:00 P.M. at the Hull And Hull Funeral Home chapel in Grants Pass, Oregon. Internment will be in Hillcrest Memorial Park cemetery
