Services in memory of Catherine Hoeppner were held 10:30 a.m. Saturday. October 10. 1987 at Hope Lutheran Church of Everly, Iowa. Rev. Roger Hanson officiated.
Casket bearers were Jeffrey Triplett, Michael Armstrong, Michael A. Hoeppner, Darwin Hoeppner, Todd Hoeppner and Allen Bahm.
Honorary casket bearers were Kent Steffens, Kevin Steffens, Kyle Steffens, Steve Nott, Kenneth Nott,
Michael Nott.
Committal service was in Lone Tree Cemetery, Everly, Iowa.
Catherine Marie Hoeppner. the daughter of Henry Thee and Maria Reimer, was born March 11, 1908 at Schleswig-Holstein. Germany. She grew up in Clay County, Lone Tree Township, and attended country school.
She was united in marriage to Albert Hoeppner on October 11. 1928 at Algona. Iowa. They farmed in O'Brien County until moving to Hartley in 1969.
Albert passed away in 1972.
She was a member of Hope Lutheran Church in Everly.
She passed away at Hartley, Iowa on October 6, 1987 at the age of 79.
Preceding her in death were her parents, her husband, a sister, Marie Lohse and her daughter, Doreen (Mrs. Jim) Nott.
Left to cherish her memory are two daughters and their husbands, Betty and Louis Steffens of Colorado Springs. Colorado, and Marian and Vern Push of Omaha, Nebraska; one son and his wife. Robert and Kay Hoeppner of Hartley, Iowa; twenty grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren, other relatives and friends.
