Born Sept. 8, 1894, Mount Pleasant, a son of Asa and Hilda Larsen Coates. Married Marie Brotherson Curtis April 4, 1950, Evanston, Wyo. Rancher and livestockman. President Mount Pleasant Cattlemen's Association 15 years, president Twin Creek irrigation Co. 20 years, president Mountain Tunnel Co. and Cedar Creek Tunnel Co., both 15 years. Past Grand, Order of Odd Fellows Lodge No. 20,. Member, Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Survivors; widow; step-children, Harley Bradley, Provo; Jack Bradley, Mona; Br. Blake (Kathy) Cloward, Richfield; Mrs. Douglas (Dorothy) Olson, Mount Pleasant; 11 grandchildren; brothers, Niels, Grant, Asel, all Mount Pleasant; LaVern, Salt Lake City.
