SSGT Henry Francis Clayborn, brother of 2LT John Joseph Clayborne, was stationed in France during WW II and in March of 1945 he took military leave and went to Horsahm St Faith to meet and talk to 2 survivors of the B-24 Liberator "Lassie Come Home" that crashed on January 14, 1945 killing his brother. 2LT John Joseph Clayborn was a Navigator on this fateful mission. Sadly, 2 little children, Mary Elizabeth Kemp, age 5, and Brian Maurice Jones, age 9, were also killed when "Lassie Come Home" crashed. They had been playing in the yard.
