Edward Raymond Lunt, age 91, was reunited with his wife, sons, parents and loved ones in heaven, Monday September 23, 2002 in Nephi, Utah.

He was born August 6, 1911 in Nephi, Utah to Shedrick Alanzo and Ellen Maude Chapman Lunt. He married his high school sweetheart, Florence Blackett, Oct. 17, 1934 in the Manti Temple. She passed away March 25, 1992.

He was a lifelong resident of Nephi and was educated in the Nephi schools where he participated in sports. He was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He worked for many years at the Wasatch Service Station when he was first married. He had a great love for the land and farmed most of his life. He enjoyed working with animals, especially his cows and horses. He loved sports and was good at them. He played baseball on the Nephi teams and was a member of a bowling league in Nephi and Spanish Fork for many years. In his later years he enjoyed watching sports on TV. He loved hunting and fishing with his sons and listening to their hunting stories when he was unable to go with them. He had a great sense of humor and really enjoyed kidding and teasing those who cared for him at Heritage Hills. We will all miss him very much but are comforted to know he is with mom and his family again. His greatest love was for his wife and children. He was a kind and loving husband and a good caring father. He was very proud of his children and their accomplishments.

Ray is survived by a daughter, Barbara (Sam) Lovell of Nephi; a son, David Paul (Terrell) Lunt of Woodland Hills; 10 grandchildren; and 26 great-grandchildren; He was preceded in death by two sons, Gordon Ray and an infant son; a grandson, Dustin Ray Lovell; 3 brothers and 3 sisters.

Funeral services will be held at 12 noon, Thursday, Sept. 26, 2002, in the Nephi 8th Ward, 222 South 100 East. Friends may call from 6-8 p.m. at the Anderson Funeral Home, 94 West 300 North and at the church one hour prior to the services. The interment will be in Vine Bluff Cemetery Nephi, Utah.
