VIRGINIA MAE SIMPSON

Virginia Mae Simpson, 79, of Maidsville, WV died Saturday, January 10, 2015 at her residence.

She was born September 8, 1935 at Winston-Salem, NC, a daughter of the late Conard Stewart Hutchins and Bessie Cox Hutchins.

Mrs. Simpson was a homemaker.

Surviving are one sister, Edith Demers of Walkertown, NC; one brother, Paul Hutchins, of Walnut Cove, NC; eight children, Ruth Langley of Ortana, PA, Linda Harwood, of Hebron, Ohio; Karen (Westphall) Glover of Morgantown, WV, Deborah Parker, Winston-Salem, NC; Virginia Simpson, Herndon, VA; Herbert Simpson, Jr. of North Carolina; Tommy Simpson of Winston-Salem, NC; and Patricia Wilkerson of Winston-Salem, NC; twenty-five grandchildren; forty-four great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by one brother, Frank Hutchins, and two sisters, Mary Langford and Mildred Johnson.

Friends may call at the Owen-Neely Funeral Home, 5894 Mason-Dixon Highway, Blacksville, WV from 5-9 PM Wednesday. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home at 1:00 PM Thursday with the Pastor Joe Zarilla officiating. Interment will follow in the Olive Cemetery at Pentress.
