Mr. Thomas Murchison “Tommy” Darsey passed away Monday, January 12, 2015 in Abilene, Texas. He was born in Crockett, Texas, December 19, 1950 to Dr. Edward and Mary Martha Murchison Darsey. Tommy attended Crockett Schools where he enjoyed and excelled in many sports. He loved everything outdoors: camping, hunting, fishing and skiing on the Spring Creek Country Club Lake from the age of 5 until he got “too old to ski”. He also loved his music and it was definitely one of his passions. Whether it was playing the drums in the family living room when he was young or playing the piano and keyboard when he got older, he was crazy about music. Many a social evening would end with Tommy playing the piano surrounded by people who would join in by singing along.

Tommy never met a stranger. He was an outstanding man both in sales and managing. He had a very special gift of listening to others, never being judgmental but deeply caring. Throughout his life, he developed deep and longtime relationships with hundreds of people both young and old. He loved seeing after many of his much older friends.

Mr. Darsey was preceded in death by his wife: Molly Darsey, and his parents Dr. Edward Darsey and Mary Martha Murchison Darsey.
