Mrs. Cockey was born in Alameda and lived in Modesto 20 years.
She was a homemaker.
She is survived by her children, David Cockey of Livermore, Brian Cockey, Laura Hodges and Jeffrey Hodges, all of Modesto, Johnny Hodges of Sacramento, and Lisa Hodges and April Hodges, both of Riverbank; mother, Doris E. Ferrell of Hayward; brothers, Dale Miller of La Grange, Ky., and Edward Ferrell of Turlock; sisters, Susan Ferreira of Hayward and Sandra Harvey of West Memphis, Ark.; and eight grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard J. Hodges; and children, Eileen and James.
A memorial service will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Salas Brothers Funeral Chapel.
Inurnment at Acacia Memorial Park.
