Ruth Mae Hunter - Nurse's Aide
Ruth Mae Hunter, 68, of San Bernardino (California) died of cancer Saturday at Redlands Community Hospital. Hunter, a native of Kentucky*, lived in San Bernardino 40 years. She retired as a nurse's aide at St. Bernardine Medical Center in San Bernardino. She is survived by her husband, Doyle; two sons, John of Cherry Valley and Don Deibert of Garden City, Kansas; four daughters, Myrna Hansen of Santa Ana, Pam Levins of Boonesmill, V., Babs Baldwin of San Bernardino and Shonna of Highland; two brothers, Bob Karnes of Staunton, Illinois, and Dale Karnes of Fort Walton Beach, Florida; a sister, Ruby Deibert of Garden City, Kansas; 17 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Visitation is 5 to 7 p.m. at Mark B. Shaw Mortuary, 1525 N. Waterman Ave., San Bernardino.
Graveside services are 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Mt. View Cemetery, 570 E. Highland Ave., San Bernardino. Mark B. Shawm is handling arrangements.
The family suggests donation to First Christian Church Building Fund, 1001 N. Arrowhead Ave., San Bernardino, Cal. 92405.
