Services for Jimmie Ray Barker, 50, of Bastrop ( formally of Taylor ) will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday January 17, 2015 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Taylor. Rosary will be at Condra Funeral Home Friday, January 16th at 7 p.m..
Jimmie was born to Manuel L. & Bertha C. Barker on August 28, 1964 in Taylor, Texas and left to be with the Lord on January 10, 2015
Graduated from Thrall High School in 1982 and also attended Temple College.
Jimmie loved sports and Coached Youth Sports in Taylor and Round Rock. He also assisted Coach at Thrall High School.
Jimmie retired from Taylor Meat Company after 20 years of service and recently worked at Lowes Home Improvement in Bastrop Texas.
Jimmie was involved in several organizations, The Taylor Rodeo Association, Knights of Columbus and The Sons of the Republic of Texas.
Jimmie was preceded in death by his parents Manuel & Bertha Barker.
Jimmie is survived by brother Larnce Barker and his wife Charity of Salado Texas and their 3 sons Tommie, Dillon and Jacob Barker, brother Albert Barker and his wife Shawna of Athens, Texas and their children Megan and husband Billy Wiltsie , Sierra Latham & Alexander Barker , sister Noemi Gomez of Irving Texas. As well as 2 great niece Onna, Elsa and 1 great nephew Johnathon Wiltsie.
Arrangements were made with Condra Funeral Home in Taylor.
