Minnie Arnold Powell, age 88, of Eminence, died Monday, February 21, 2005 at Homestead Nursing Center, New Castle. She was retired from Brunswick after 20 years of service, a member of Eminence Baptist Church and daughter of the late James Lego and Bessie Booth Arnold.
She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Ken (Nancy) Heightchew, New Castle; one son, Jimmy Powell, Birmingham, Alabama; six grandchildren and 14 great grandchidren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Carroll Powell.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, February 24, at Prewitt New Castle Funeral Home. Rev. Michael Duncan, pastor of Eminence Baptist Church, will officiate. Interment will be in Eminence Cemetery.
Visitation will be after 5 p.m. today (Wednesday, February 23) at Prewitt New Castle Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Mark Powell, Todd Powell, Terry Heightchew, Steve Heightchew, Tim Crow, and Andy Meek.
Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to Eminence Baptist Church, PO Box 134, Eminence, KY 40019.
