She was the daughter of the late Thomas and Rose Lee Underwood Asbury. She was preceded in death by one brother, Robert Asbury; one sister and brother-in-law, Frances and Pete Carriger; and one nephew, Gary Asbury. She was also preceded in death by one brother, Robert Asbury; one sister and brother-in-law, Frances and Pete Carriger; and one nephew, Gary Asbury.
She was retired as a salesperson from Tate's Clothing Store. She was a member of First Christian Church of Elizabethton for over 60 years.
Graveside service was conducted at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, December 7, 2003, in the Happy Valley Memorial Park.
